Roseanne (1988)

A breakout hit in a time when those were few and far between, "Roseanne" broke the usual TV mold by casting actors -- led, of course, by star Roseanne Barr/Arnold/no last name -- who looked like regular people. Beneath the show's barrage of caustic one-liners, the Conner family dealt with everyday problems like juggling work and family duties and making ends meet.
