This is the story of love among the Rounins, the elite warrior of Lumeria. It revolves around their battles with Helion and the intertwined relationships they have with each other. The Rounins abide by a sacred code, foremost of which is that for the protection of the land no two Rounins can fall in love with each other. Ironically, love is the constant curse that plagues the Rounins. At any point in time in Lumeria, there can only be five Rounins, each one specialized in a martial arts discipline. These five Rounins are elite warriors of the Master Rounin, the ruler of Lumeria. The primary goal of the circle of five Rounins is protection of Lumeria against civil unrest and the threats of the city of death, Helion. When there is a need for a Rounin because of death in war, succession to the throne, or violation of the Rounin code, a search among Lumerian citizens is held in Zephire. Hundreds of young men and women participate and are trained spiritually and physically to master the five disciplines of Rounin. A series of tournaments trim the young hopefuls, until the best student is chosen as the new member of the elite warrior of Rounins Circle. From the tournament a young man emerges as the winner and new Rounin, his name is Mythos. He exudes amazing skill and potential but is a reluctant hero, his true motives for entering the Rounin Circle is to piece together his past and search for his father. Amidst his search he finds his true love in his childhood friend Selene. Unknown to Mythos is his true pedigree as a warrior and protector of Lumeria. |
