| | Savannah (1996)This steamy but shortlived nighttime soap from the Aaron Spelling factory revolves around three Southern belles who are former high school classmates: Reese, a naive, moneyed beauty; Lane, an aspiring newspaper writer; and Peyton, the resident vixen. The series opens with Reese's marriage to Travis Peterson, a union that is soon rocked by larceny, infidelity and murder. Edward Burton is Reese's powerful father, while Lucille Richards is Peyton's mom, who has a few secrets of her own. Detective Dean Collins is a local cop and single father who resumes dating Lane after a past romance. Tom Massick is a con artist with an ax to grind -- and, he hopes, to bury in Edward's back.
