Strange Luck (1995)

Ever since he was 11 months old, when he survived a horrible plane crash that killed his family, Chance Harper has had an uncanny knack for being in the wrong place at the right time when it comes to helping people in distress. It's a mixed blessing, to say the least. Chance supports himself as a freelance photographer at a paper where an old flame, Audrey Westin, is his editor. When Chance isn't confiding his experiences to therapist Dr. Anne Richter, he often hangs out at the Blue Plate Diner, where Alice the waitress is glad to lend a friendly ear.
