The Alan Burke Show

Combative host Alan Burke gives forth his opinions on the events of the day, then brings on a guest, usually with an opposing viewpoint, to debate the issues.

The Alan Burke Show (1966)

One of the earliest examples of a 'shock-talk' host, Alan Burke chose not to invite the kind of guests featured on most other talk shows, instead going with the fringes of the political, religious and social spectrum. Although raw sensationalism played a large role in the show, there was often a serious message behind it all, as topics like the limits and uses censorship, religious freedom and political rights were often discussed.
