Struggling actress Bonnie Kennedy returns to her old Chicago apartment after her fiance breaks up with her. She quickly falls back into her old circle of friends who include her best friend Holly, unemployed journalist Brad, local fireman Finley, bartender Big Tony and fellow actor Stan.
