Cara Bridges (Cara Williams) and her husband Frank (Frank Aletter) are employees of Fenwick Industries. Because the company disallows married couples from working together, both have to hide their marriage from their boss (Paul Reed).

The story of a young bride and groom who are employed by Fenwick Diversified Industries, Incorporated, a Los Angeles-based company that prohibits the employment of married couples. Cara Wilton, a beautiful, but scatterbrained file clerk, and Frank Bridges, the efficiency expert, resolve their problem by concealing their marriage. Episodes relate their struggles to keep their marriage a secret.After five months, the format changed. Plagued by the constant fear of discovery, Cara and Frank revealthe fact of their marriage to Damon Burkhardt, the company manager. When she discovers that Frank is to be discharged, Cara, whose complex filing system makes her inexpendable, questions the company's marriage policy and convinces the president to alter the rule. Stories relate the home and working lives of young marrieds Cara and Frank Bridges.
