Tony Scali is a suburban New York State police commissioner who is a hands-on professional with a unique, unpretentious, unorthodox flair for dealing with people -- both on the job and at home. He is devoted to his wife Rachel, son David and young daughter Sarah. This season Scali must learn to walk again after being seriously injured in a shootout.
