The D.A.

Short-lived series from Jack Webb's Mark VII production company about the workings of the district attorney's office in Los Angeles. Robert Conrad and Harry Morgan starred in the series which ran on NBC for 14 episodes during the 1971-72 season.

The D.A. (1971)

Filmed in the flat, matter-of-fact style of fellow Jack Webb series as "Dragnet" and "Adam-12", "The D.A." starred Robert Conrad as Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Paul Ryan, who spent the first half of every episode gathering evidence against the accused party and the second half presenting it in court, where he would often be opposed by Katherine Benson of the Public Defender's Office. Stafford was Ryan's boss, and Ramirez was Ryan's "legman" who did much of the out-of-office detective work.
