A teenage boy wryly observes the dramatic changes in his suburban household - his father, disgusted with his corporate law job, quits to pursue an entirely different sort of career; his genius little brother runs away from home to hunt down the girl he has a crush on; and both his older sister, a popular high school senior with a bright future, and his mother, struggling to balance the demands of home and her new career, find out they're pregnant at the same time.
