The Honeymooners (1955)

Ralph Cramden (Jackie Gleason) was a perpetually flustered, but eternally optimistic New York City bus driver living with his wife Alice (Audrey Meadows) in a small Brooklyn apartment. Ralph's best friend was sanitation worker Ed Norton (Art Carney), who lived in the same build with wife Trixie (Joyce Randolph). Many episodes revolved around Ralph and Ed's wild schemes, which never seemed to succeed.
