The Journey of Allen Strange (1997)

Fourteen-year-old alien, Allen Strange, is stranded on Earth when his mothership returns home without him. He moves in with two Earth kids, 15-year-old Robbie and her younger brother Josh, a sci-fi enthusiast. Robbie and Josh, whose parents are separated, relate to Allen's loneliness.
