In the update of the 1956 TV series, two players (one a champion) competed in a variant of tic-tac-toe, trying to get three of their mark in a row by answering general knowledge and pop culture questions. Tie games meant playing subsequent games (sometimes leading to large jackpots) until someone won. Champions played a bonus game, where they chose from nine numbers on the Tic Tac Dough board. Getting $1,000 (by uncovering dollar amounts ranging from $100 to $500) or revealing both words TIC and TAC won the player a $1,000-$1,400 bonus plus a prize package; uncovering the dragon at any time prior to reaching $1,000 lost everything. Players won a car for every five games won; they continued until defeated. |
