Cesar Montano showcases his versatility yet again as he fronts the newest game show in town, Singing Bee. That he was chosen to be the host is no big surprise. After all, he already wowed us with his album Subok Lang back in 2000. In an interview for the show, Cesar relayed how he developed his passion for music. “I love playing the guitar. In fact, I had my first one when I was in grade school but I only learned how to play it when I was already a teenager.” In Singing Bee, Cesar gets to put contestants through their “musical paces.” Luckily for those who can't carry a tune, one doesn't have to be a diva to join in the fun. “Everyone can sing with us every night. You don't have to have a good singing voice. For sure the viewers will enjoy Singing Bee' since most Filipinos love to sing in videoke bars,” says Cesar. Contestants simply have to know a lot of songs by heart to win the game. If you can croon the exact lyrics of any given song, then you're in for a surefire victory. Franchised from Zeal Entertainment, Singing Bee will showcase its live band Bandlebee, headed by Musical Director Mel Villena, and the Honeybees, sexy dancers who'll be grooving to their beat. For aspiring contestants, the quizmaster offered some words of advice. “Better look for your old song books, surf the Internet and find out the correct lyrics of the songs you like and even dislike.” |
