| | The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2007) 14 lucky youngsters from across Britain have been hand-picked to study at a real life magic school - and then face a series of 'magic challenges'. They compete against their peers for the much sought-after title ... The Sorcerer's Apprentice. At the school, they fall under the tutorial spell of magicians, who teach the tricks, and our Sorcerer - the wise, timeless magician who judges their progress, and ensures that magic, whilst fun to watch, is a very serious discipline indeed. Making the transition from novice to magician in just three weeks is demanding. Our chosen youngsters aged between eleven and thirteen not only learn magic, but also get to grips with life at boarding school. They learn to use quills and ink, face an unusual diet including snails and “frogs-legs” soup and complete daily chores like looking after the resident animals and keeping their dormitories tidy.
