The Wild Thornberrys (1998)

Animated adventure series about a filmmaking family that travels around the world making nature documentaries. Daughter Eliza Thornberry has the secret power to speak with the animals in the wild, which gives her an insider's view into the natural world. The family also includes: Donnie, the Thornberry's adopted 4-year-old wild child; Darwin, a neurotic chimpanzee who adopted them; father Nigel Thornberry, who hosts their documentaries; mother Marianne, a committed filmmaker; and daughter Debbie,a teenager who sees the family's travels as a prison sentence.
