Thomas & Friends (1984)

Children's series featuring "Thomas the Tank Engine," whose live-action shorts appeared on the PBS series "Shining Time Station," from 1989 to 1997. Set on the imaginary and idyllic island of Sodor, Thomas' adventures always teach him and his friends lessons about the meaning of friendship, the importance of honesty and the lasting value of hard work. Joining Thomas are a cast of steam engines, a tractor, a bus and a helicopter, each with its own distinct personality.
