Three contestants compete but are first involved in separate games based on events of the past. Each player receives the opportunity to win prizes by correctly answering trivia-related questions. No matter what the outcome, the players later compete against each other for a chance to win up to $22,000 in the time capsule segment. Several clues to the identity of a particular year are revealed. Each player locks in his choice of a year. The correct player wins $1,000 plus any prizes that he may have won in the previous rounds. The champion then receives the opportunity to win $22,000 by answering difficult questions associated with that year. |
