To the Manor Born (1979)

A British-made series about Audrey Forbes-Hamilton, a widow left bankrupt after the death of her husband, who struggles to once again gain control of Grantleigh Manor, the family estate that has been in her family for 400 years. She is forced to sell the estate to pay off debts. The comedy involves the conflicts that arise between Audrey and Richard DeVere, the "nouveau riche" who becomes the new occupant of Grantleigh Manor.
