Ugly Betty

Ugly Betty is, from a family perspective, one of the most dangerous shows on television. Many programs make no claim to be family-friendly and do not hide their offensive content; but Ugly Betty, plastered in bright, kid-friendly colors and airing in the heart of the Family Hour, masquerades as a Cinderella story about a sweet girl trying to make it in a tough industry -- while in reality it is largely about sex. Furthermore, the program all-too-often is under-rated TV-PG rather than the more appropriate rating of TV-14, as was the case this week. For all these reasons, Ugly Betty is our choice for Worst of the Week.
