"WWF Superstars" took its name from the World Wrestling Federation's long-running syndicated series, using the title on the wrestling promotion's cable week-in-review program. Kevin Kelly (himself a former wrestler) reviewed the past week in the World Wrestling Federation and updated viewers on ongoing feuds and upcoming events. Frequently, the series featured segments on the WWF cast's out-of-character (i.e., their real-life personalities) and out-of-ring activities (e.g., charitable, civic and political activities; appearances in movies and TV-series; etc.), as well as occasional behind-the-scenes looks at the WWF. |
