Whew!

Try to win two games in order to get a chance to beat the Gauntlet of Villains for US$25,000 in cash.

Whew! (1979)

Two players compete; one is made the Charger, the other the Blocker. The Charger is taken offstage to a soundproof room. A large board containing six lines is displayed (five lines of five boxes; one line of three boxes). Each of the boxes on the first five lines have a value: $10, $20, $30, $40, or $50; the sixth line has three boxes worth $200, $350, or $500.The Blocker selects any six boxes, which become five-second penalty blocks. The Charger is brought out and begins the game by calling aline and a money amount. A blooper is read that the Charger must correct. Each correct response wins him the associated money amount. The object is for the Charger to correct six bloopers, one for each line, within a sixty-second time limit (if a block is called, it deducts five seconds from the Charger's time). The round is won by the Charger if he successfully answers six bloopers. If not, the Blocker wins. Players alternate turns and the first contestant to win two games is the champion.
