Aspiring songwriters compete for the opportunity to win $100,000. The original compositions of three songwriters, which are performed by a resident company of singers and dancers, are judged by a celebrity panel which rates it from one to ten based on hit potential. The weekly winners receive $1,000 and return the following week to compete again. The five best songs over a twelve-week period are judged in a final competition, with the best songwriter receiving $100,000.
