| | Ahron Villena: 'I'm not expecting a lead role' Author: Napoleon Quintos Ahron Villena is set to play a significant role in the upcoming Precious Hearts Romances presents Bud Brothers. As a flower farm manager named Pio, he will narrate the stories of his seven male friends who will each struggle with love. ABS-CBN.com interviewed Ahron after the press conference of Bud Brothers, and he expressed his happiness over his latest TV project. " Masaya ako kasi nakabalik ako sa TV. Thankful ako kay Direk Lauren Dyogi kasi nakapag-acting uli ako. Naninibago pa nga ako kasi matagal akong nawala, huli kong appearance was in Lobo. Pero happy pa rin ako kahit wala akong ginagawa kasi nakakapag-school ako. Fourth year na ako this June sa Trinity University of Asia. I'm taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management." Ahron got his break in showbiz in 2001 as the winner of the TV Idol Ur D' Man, a talent search in the former noontime show MTB: Ang Saya Saya. " Nanalo ako nung August 21, 2001. Tandang-tanda ko pa talaga 'yung date (laughs)," he fondly recalled. After that, he starred in a few TV dramas like Hiram and Gulong Ng Palad and in the movies You Are The One and One More Chance. But up to now, Ahron has yet to play a lead role. Nevertheless, he told ABS-CBN.com that he is not in any hurry to be given a major role. "Happy ako na hanggang ngayon nandito pa ako sa showbiz. Sinasabi ko lagi na okay lang sa akin kahit mga minor roles ang ginagawa ko, kahit laging supporting, okay na sa akin 'yun. I'm not expecting a lead role. Basta may ginagawa lang." He also disproved rumors that he once felt insecure about AJ Dee, a fellow TV Idol finalist, because of claims that AJ was given more projects than him. Over the few years, Ahron seems to have understood the tough competition in the showbiz world. " Marami na rin kasing artista ngayon. One of the reasons din siguro 'yung competition kaya nahirapan ako sa mga projects. Pero hindi naman ako disappointed. Habang walang trabaho nag-aaral naman ako so at least may fall back ako in case hindi ako maging successful sa showbiz. Ang pag-aartista para sa akin nandiyan minsan, tapos mawawala, then darating uli. Ang gusto ko talaga is magkaroon ng business. Siguro sa linya ng RTW clothes . Pina-plano pa lang namin ng manager ko." This 22-year-old actor-model is single at the moment, but he said that he usually goes out on dates. Ahron's last relationship was almost a year ago with a non-showbiz girl. Ahron said that although he is in search of a serious commitment, he still has lots of things to figure out with himself, just like the other male characters in Bud Brothers. " Pinakamatagal kong relationship umabot lang ng 11 months. Hindi ko nga rin maintindihan kung nakay kanino 'yung problema, kung nasa akin ba. Sabi ng mga friends ko madali kasi akong magsawa.
