Richard Gomez took the lie detector test in the "Don’t Lie to Me Portion" of "Showbiz Central" last Sunday. Regular host John Lapus was absent and it was his personal friend, Anjo Yllana, who grilled him.

Anjo’s first question was: Mahal mo pa ba si Sharon Cuneta? Goma was visibly taken aback and Anjo quickly blurted: "Joke! Joke! Joke!"

The real question was: Sa shooting ng new moviemo with Sharon, matagal kayong magkakasama on location sa Mexico.

Richard said no and it’s a lie. So Anjo had to dance with the boys who usually danced with John Lapus. They also lifted him on the air like what they do to John.

He said no and again, it’s a lie.

He said yes and it’s true. He said he’s scared to lose her.

You and Lucy trust each other pero nahuli ka nga ba ni Lucy na may ka-text mate na ibang chick? He said no and again, it’s a lie.

He said yes and it’s true. He said he was surprised when he saw Nadia "na may kasama ng iba, si Benedict Aquino."

He said he cannot remember it at all and Anjo said, sa lahat ba ng naging girlfriend, you were hurt the most sa breakup nyo ni Dawn? He said yes and it’s true.

He said no and it’s true.

Anjo summarized Goma’s answers and there were four truths and three lies.

"Showbiz Central" also featured the wedding of Raymond Bagatsing to former movie writer Cora Pastrana in L.A., complete with wedding photos. Raymond is in his early 40s while Cora is 60 years old. Some quarters say it’s just a marriage of convenience so Raymond can get permanent residency in the US but Cora told her friends that Raymond really fell in love with her and they really live as husband and wife. This is Cora’s first and Raymond’s second since he was previously married to former actress Lara Fabregas who’s now happily married and has a child with a British guy.

There’s also an interview with Gretchen Barretto that reveals that Dennis Padilla has found a new love with a much younger 24-year-old foreigner. When Gretchen was asked if her sister Marjorie, Dennis’ ex, has also found a new boyfriend as rumored, Gretchen wittily replies: "I’m Gretchen, not Marjorie. You ask her directly."

A phone patch interview with Manny Pacquiao who’s still training in the US for his fight with Oscar de la Hoya was aired and he denied he’s indisposed due to stomach trouble. He said his tummy ache is gone and is nothing to get worried about. Is it true he has given up his title just so he can able to fight De la Hoya?

"That’s not true. I let my lawyer deal with it and I don’t let it bother me," he said.

And what can he say about De la Hoya’s boast that he will be knocked out in the fifth round? "E, di tingnan natin kung kaya nga niya."

Why he broke up with Isabel Oli is something Paolo Contis will not divulge. At first, he wouldn’t even admit it but later on he said people wanting to know the real score can check it up in his Facebook account, which used to say that he is "in a relationship." But now, it clearly states that he’s single. And to think they were just lovey-dovey when Paolo joined the Cosmo men bash where he went sexy for the first time. At the presscon of "One Night Only," he also said his relationship with Isabel is doing okay, so no one had an inkling that they’d be parting ways soon after that.

It seems that Paolo is just "gaya-gaya puto-maya" to his best friend Dingdong Dantes who had just also broken up with girlfriend Karylle. Both relationships lasted for more than three years. But this is not the first time that Paolo and Isabel broke up. They also split up more than a year and a half ago but reconciled after a few weeks. So we won’t be surprised if they’d hook up again soon.

But Paolo says he wants to focus mainly on his career these days since he really is super busy with one assignment after another. He just finished OctoArts’ filmfest entry, "One Night Only." He’s still hosting "World Records" but will also soon host a new game show, "My Dad is Better than Your Dad." Dingdong also requested him to be part of his new show with Marian Rivera, "Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang."

At the presscon of "One Night Only," no one would believe Paolo that before they shot the movie in a motel in Sta. Mesa, he has never entered any motel before in his entire life.

"Siempre, takot akong makita ng mga taong pumapasok sa biglang liko at tiyak na matsitsismis lang ako," he says. "Mas mabuti na sa isang five star hotel where you can meet more discreetly kahit hindi kayo sabay pumasok. Pero maganda rin pala sa motel kasi may privatena garahe at wala talagang makakakita sa inyo."

Rafael Rosell admits he felt offended when he was a guest in "Banana Split" and they deceived him during one of its segments. "Jon Avila, Will Devaugh and I were blindfolded," he says. "Tapos, may mga bading na maglalaro and we’re told ibebeso kami sa cheeks lang. But when it was take na, they kissed us on the lips. We didn’t complain during the take but sa dressing room, we all felt na we were taken advantage of. Hindi naman ganun ang usapan. The management apologized naman to us later."

Rafael turned 26 on Nov. 10 and was one of the Star Magic November celebrants feted Rikka Dylim in a special merienda. He was only 19 when he came home from Norway and was introduced in "Kung Ika’y Isang Panaginip" as one of Jolina Magdangal’s leading men. Everyone says he should’ve been a bigger star by now, but he says he’s just thankful that he continues to get projects from ABS-CBN. He is seen regularly in "ASAP" as one of the Coverboys and he’s also one of Judy Ann Santos’ three leading men in her new soap. "Binago na naman ang title. Hindi na raw ‘Humingi Ako sa Langit’ but ‘Habang May Buhay.’ I play a doctor in the series. Kasama rin ako sa ‘Moon River’ with Jodi Santamaria and Maja Salvador and I’m also now in ‘Betty La Fea’ as a brand manager. I’ve just finished a movie with Rufa Mae Quinto, ‘Civil Status: Single.’"

Other November celebrants are:

Dianne Medina started in "Wazzup" and "Let’s Go" but was noticed by Star Magic in "Wowowee." She is now a mainstay in "Banana Split." She turned 22 Nov. 5.

Ron Morales is a runner-up in "Mossimo Bikini Summit" and "Be Bench." he was regular in "Palos" and "Ligaw na Bulaklak." He is now cast in "Dyosa" as a friend of Sam Milby. He just finished the indie film "Iliw," meaning nostalgia, filmed in Ilocos with Kaye Abad. He turned 24 on Nov. 12.

Lauren Young is the younger sister of Megan. She was only 11 when introduced in Star Circle Batch 13. She just turned 15 on Nov. 8. She was paired with AJ Perez in "Abt Ur Luv," "Astigs," "Lobo" and "Your Song." "Pero matagal na po akong walang project kaya ang birthday wish ko, mabigyan na sana uli ako ng show." She’s a high school junior at Philippine School of Innovative Studies.

Bea Saw is the grand winner of "Pinoy Big Brother 2." She turned 23 on Nov. 17. At the presscon of the movie of Ai Ai de las Alas and Robin Padilla early this year, "Ikaw Pa Rin," we saw them holding hands under the table and Ai Ai later caressing the thigh of Binoy surreptitiously. We asked them if they were really on and they denied it both. Sadly, their movie didn’t do as well as expected at the tills. "Pinasukan pala kasi nila ng hanky-panky," says one writer,

At the presscon of "Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat," sequel to Ai Ai’s previous "Tanging Ina" blockbuster, Ai Ai admitted that the last time she went to bed with someone was with an action star. Although she wouldn’t reveal the name of the actor, movie writers quickly concluded that it can be no one else but Binoy.

Ai Ai says she has chosen to be celibate at 44 and, in return for her abstinence, she got so many blessings, like the new "Tanging Ina" movie that is Star Cinema’s entry to the coming Metro Manila filmfest, replacing the Judy Ann Santos-Ryan Agoncillo "Kasal"-"Sakal" movies.

"Kumita ang first ‘Tanging Ina’ ng more than P200 million. So ngayong nagpapaka-good girl, siguro naman ibe-blessako para mas malaki pa roon ang maging kita ng ‘Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat’kunsaan ako ang magiging bagong presidente ng bansa after a snap election," she says. "Si Gloria ang papalitan ko, pero hindi Arroyo kundi Diaz."

We’ve seen the movie’s full trailer and it does have some hilarious moments. Two of her original children in the cast are no longer part of the movie: Marvin Agustin and Heart Evangelista, who have transferred to GMA-7. Another cast member, Nikki Valdez, has gotten married and now lives in Canada. Other kids who reprise their roles are Shaina Magdayao, Alwyn Uytingco as the gay son, Serena Dalrymple, Jiro Manio and Yuki Kadaoka.

Eugene Domingo returns to play her best friend and is considered by director Wenn Deramas as his lucky charm. If Eugene wasn’t dropped from the cast of "Depseradas 2" and "Shake Rattle & Roll X," she could have been the only star with three filmfest entries this season and that would surely boost her stock all the more.
