Alex Santos takes a new challenge on 'XXX'

Expect more exclusive and explosive stories from "XXX" as Alex Santos joins Pinky Webb and Julius Babao starting February 28. The new investigative team will continue to shed light on illegal activities taking place in the dark, hidden alleys and in high places of society.

"People must learn to take heed of the problems surrounding them. The moment these complaints reach us we will definitely investigate the matter and take the necessary action," said Alex who is dubbed as the "Bantay ng Bayan."

Alex takes over the slot of "XXX" anchor Henry Omaga-Diaz who will now produce in-depth news stories for late night newscast "Bandila."

He is currently the anchor of morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda" and weekend primetime newscast "TV Patrol Weekend" and has served ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs for 15 years.

"As the 'bantay ng bayan,' I will get to the bottom of things and recommend solutions to address the problem," he added.

Pinky, who is tagged as the "Sumbungan ng Mamamayan," has earned public recognition for her fearless and incisive reportage on important national stories like the Manila Peninsula siege and the International Emmy-nominated Subic Rape Case Trial Promulgation episode in "Bandila."

"I've always been fascinated by the two main protagonists in a crime- the perpetrator and the victim. XXX is an opportunity to show both faces and make viewers understand them, and in so doing, help put a stop to the crime itself," Pinky said.

Meanwhile, Julius "Action Man" Babao is one of the most recognized broadcast journalists in the country after winning various awards giving bodies. His passion for public service and investigative reporting manifests through his exposés in "XXX."

This Saturday, watch the actual kidnapping footage of 23-year-old Ahjib Tiburon which was exclusively handed to "XXX." The team investigates and finds out that Ahjib is not the real target of the suspects but his brother Normaine.

"XXX" follows the negotiations between the kidnapper and the victim's family that suddenly lead to an intense rescue operations.
