Angel Aquino has no problem working with both ABS-CBN and GMA-7

"Whoever gives you work, di ba, that's where you go," Angel Aquino answered when asked about working on two competing TV networks at the same time.

Angel Aquino admits that by working both on ABS-CBN and GMA-7, she's having the best of both worlds.

As a TV host, Angel has been one of the faces of the lifestyle magazine show Us Girls on Studio 23 for three years. Then, recently, GMA-7 tapped her anew to work as an actress in its newest primetime show Darna, where she plays the role of the first Darna and became the guardian of the stone that she will pass on to Marian Rivera.

"I get to work both side. Para sa akin naman, I was never limited by ABS-CBN to work for ABS-CBN. They never expected me to just work for ABS-CBN. They have a full roster of artists din naman. Whoever gives you work, di ba, that's where you go. Where there's work, that's where you'll go," said Angel during the press conference of Us Girls for its first-ever August Award held yesterday, August 13, at Cravings restauran in Katipunan, Quezon City.

She added, "Wherever naman I go, I'm treated well."

The fashion celebrity said that there's no problem working with Us Girls and Darna at the same time.

Angel explained, "If it's taped, we usually tape the scenes. If we could finish it in a day, the better. Besides, if it's work, it's something that will send my kids to school, you know, I'll squeeze it into my schedule. I think all of us, especially at this time, we need all the 'raket' that we can get. You know, I will really make sure that it all fits in the schedule."

THE US GIRLS' SISTER. Meanwhile, as the eldest among the three hosts of Us Girls, Angel said that she doesn't have a hard time connecting with her younger co-hosts, Iya Villania and Megan Young.

As a mother of two teens, Angel said, "I think because I have two girls who are already teenagers that I am able to keep with my girls here beside me [Iya and Maegan]. So, parang sila 'yong extension ko ng family, parang mayroon din akong dalawang anak na katabi. Kasi, my two girls, we're like friends, we're more like barkadas than daughters at parang ganun din ang relationship ko kina Iya."

Angel added that she could also bond with them even if they're younger than her. "I know I how to have fun with my girls and I also know how to have fun with them [Iya and Megan] or the other way around so that I can also be the friend that my daughters need also."
