Angel reaps 1st best acting award

ACTRESS Angel Locsin was on cloud nine last Sunday night when she received her very first Best Actress title at the 22nd Star Awards for Television held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Angel won Best Single Performance by an Actress Award for her exceptional acting stint in ABS-CBN's Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) episode titled "Pilat."

MMK likewise bagged the Best Drama Anthology Award.

"Lord, aktres na ako!" Angel exclaimed as she held her award. She toppled some veteran drama actresses like Helen Gamboa, Cherry Pie Picache, Susan Roces, and Gloria Romero, who were also nominated for an MMK episode.
