Banana Split stars Angelica Panganiban and Roxanne Guinoo said that they don't feel bad about being second choices to original cast members Kristine Hermosa and Anne Curtis who had to give up their slots because of prior projects. The two said that they just feel grateful for the work, which they say is also enjoyable.
For her part, Roxanne said that she looks beyond one's amount of exposure on the show, explaining that there are no big or small roles. "Ang importante is may trabaho ako, and hindi ako namimili ng trabaho eh," the actress said.
Angelica supported her co-star's sentiment, saying that she has been looking forward to starring in a gag show like Banana Split.
She also revealed that she knew about the gag show since last year, but that it had gotten postponed.
Banana Split's all-female cast also includes Valerie Concepcion, Cristine Reyes, RR Enriquez, Dianne Medina, and Princess Ryan. With all these pretty ladies in one show, have there been issues of jealousy and cat fights? Roxanne clarified that although have their differences, they were able to form healthy working relationships. "Lahat kami, iba-iba ng personality pero nagja-jive," she began.
Banana Split premieres this Saturday, October 11 after Maalaala Mo Kaya.
