Angelica Panganiban is so happy with boyfriend Derek Ramsay. She said so herself.

But she refuses to talk about a possible wedding. Not yet, she reveals.

It's good enough that they are getting along great. What more is there to ask for?

The chemistry between them from the start had been pretty obvious. So far, it has not subsided.

Then, how come she once admitted they were on the brink of breaking up?

"Now, tell me, kung sino ang magkasintahang 'di nagkakaroon ng disagreement paminsan-minsan? That is part and parcel of a good and happy relationship. And ours, mine and Derek's, is a good and happy one," Angelica stated.

Like her, Derek is also busy. He plays Judy Ann Santos' leading man in the upcoming teleserye, Humiling Ka sa Langit.

He and Juday first appeared together in the series, Ysabella.

Angelica, on the other hand, is getting good feedback for her role as Scarlet dela Rhea-Castellejos, the women viewers of Iisa Pa Lamang love to hate.

She is effective in her role as the torturer of Catherine, played by Claudine Barretto.

"Ang worry ko lang," she remarked wryly, "baka magkaroon ng tatak sa akin ang role at isipin ng tao na talagang masama nga ang ugali ko. "

ANGELICA started as a child actress. She was nine years old when she did the movie Antipolo Massacre produced by the husband and wife team of Donna Villa and Direk Carlo Caparas, known in showbiz as the "Golden Couple. "

The film co-starred her with Cesar Montano, Dawn Zulueta and Liezl Martinez.

Now a versatile actress, Angelica has essayed teenybopper and supporting characters before doing bigger and more challenging roles.

One of her most adorable roles as an adolescent was in Santa Santita with Jericho Rosales. She went on to do Mano Po 3, All About Love and the teleserye, Mangarap Ka and Vietnam.

Angelica considers A Love Story as her biggest break, though, because it gave her the chance to pit talents with two actors she admires and respects so much, Maricel Soriano and Aga Muhlach.

Do you know that for her role as the wife of Aga, Angelica won a nomination for best actress in the Luna Awards where all voting members and officers are from the showbiz industry?

Guess who is Angelica's co-nominee?

None other than Maricel.

"My God," Angelica gushed. "Just to be nominated for an award side by side with the Maricel Soriano is achievement enough for me. I don't think I need to win an award pa although kapag pinalad akong manalo, para na akong tumanggap ng gift kahi 'di pa Pasko. "

Angelica said she's happy for former boyfriend Carlo Aquino, dahil narinig nga niyang maganda rin ang feedback na natatanggap ng show nitong Rakista on TV5.

"Magtiyaga lang naman tayo sa mga bagay na pina-pangarap natin, darating at darating din ang panahong mabibigyan natin ng katuparan ang lahat ng ito.

"I've always wished Carlo well," susog pa ni Angelica.

It might interest her nga pala to know na kasama rin si Carlo sa cast ng Metro Manila filmfest entry ng Viva Films, Baler, where he plays Jericho Rosales' younger brother na type mag-pari.

Directed by Mark Meily, Baler also headlines Anne Curtis, Joel Torre, Baron Geisler, Bernard Palanca and Phillip Salvador.
