Annabelle says Ruffa still needs her guidance

MANILA - As far as talent manager Annabelle Rama is concerned, daughter Ruffa Gutierrez still needs her guidance when it comes to her love life.

"Kasi babae si Ruffa. Kailangan ang guidance pa," Rama told entertainment press during her birthday party held in Greenhills, San Juan.

Ruffa, 35, has been romantically linked to two men ever since her split with Turkish husband Yilmas Bektas. Recently, she denied any involvement with young actor John Lloyd Cruz.

When sought for comment, Ruffa said she will make sure that the next guy will be "worth it."

"Kung sinuman ang magiging BF (boyfriend) ko, I'm sure worth it na ipakilala siya kay mommy and daddy. Siyempre, hindi naman ako pipili ng basagulero," she told ABS-CBN News.

It's a different story, however, when it comes to Ruffa's younger brother, actor Richard Gutierrez.

Rama said Richard can choose anybody he likes, with or without her guidance.

"Kahit sinong gusto ni Richard, gusto ko na din. Hindi na ako pwedeng makialam sa kanya dahil malaki na siya at alam niya ang ginagawa nya," Rama said.

"At si Richard serious sa trabaho. Serious sa kanyang career. Kung sino ang gusto niya, o ano ang gustuhin niya, okay lang din," she added.
