Anne, Sam nude in 'Dyosa'

Sam Milby denies he got irked when he learned that girlfriend Anne Curtis had a baring scene in their new fantasy series, "Dyosa" on ABS-CBN.

He said it's but part of her role. Sam doesn't have anything against Anne's kissing scenes with her other leading men, Luis Manzano and Zanjoe Marudo, either.

Even Sam, in the terminator scene with Nikki Bacolod, had to appear nude as they descended to earth in their naked glory. The powerhouse cast also include Mickey Ferriols, Jaclyn Jose, Lloyd Samartino, Carlos Morales, Matthew Mendoza, Jeffrey Quizon, among others, in characters never before seen on Philippine television.

FILIPINO BALLET GROUP WINS

EVERYTHING'S coming up roses for the Shirley Halili Cruz Ballet Dancers who won the gold in the recently concluded 10th Asia Pacific Dance Competition in Lee Foundation Theater in Singapore at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, winning majority of the top prizes in different categories in the international dance competition "The Arts Capital of Asia. The Shirley Halili Cruz School of Ballet, awarded as "The Most Outstanding Ballet School in Asia," has consistently brought honor and respect for the Philippines with their excellent performances and conduct in the Asia Pacific Dance Competition held in Singapore for the past 8 years. It is always a grand slam victory for the Philippines. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Belen Anota who witnessed the competition congratulated Shir-ley Halili Cruz, the teachers and dancers. "Congratulations! I'm so proud of all of you and congratulations to your great work. I encourage you to continue bringing pride and honor to our country. You are our young ambassadors. "

Because of these honor, they won respect and adulation from the audience, including foreigners who witnessed the presentation. What is amazing is the dedication of the Halili Cruz artistic team in training its dancers to participate in the 10th Asia Pacific Dance Competition, thus, winning several gold trophies (first prizes) in different categories like classical ballet, neo-classical, demi-character dance, modern jazz and national. There were more than 800 dancers from over 21 professional dance companies and dance schools who participated in the competition. Halili Cruz School of Ballet won most of the gold trophies. They also won four perpetual trophies for getting the highest grade in all the major entries in the professional category. Truly a grand victory.

NO LOVELIFE FOR VALERIE

Valerie Concepcion is so busy these days her lovelife should take a backseat.

She spends more time in raising her daughter and she makes it a point to make it more personal. "Hangga't maari, I want to be a hands-on mom," says the young mother. "Kaya ang hirap pag nagkakasakit ako. "

Valerie doesn't deny the fact that she does everything to keep herself fit, and at the same time, keep herself trim. "I only eat twice a day, but I see to it naman na healthy pa rin ako," she reveals.

FAREWELL, SONGBIRD

IT is only the best for the closing episode of "Songbird" with no less than Mr. Pure Energy himself, Gary V as very special guest of host Regine Velasquez. Featured in the show are the songs immortalized by Gary V.
