Anne not ready to settle down

WHEN Anne Curtis was asked why is it that among her past boyfriends, it is only with Sam Milby that she seems greatly affected, she chose to keep silent. This was at the presscon of her upcoming ABS-CBN series, "The Wedding."

She recovered a few seconds after and blurted: "But we are still friends.

"Actually, Ive never burned bridges. They continue to keep in touch with me. Which I also do."

Even with the mothers of her exes, such as Annabelle Rama, (Richard Gutierrez), Dina Bonnevie (Oyo Boy Sotto) and Marites Revilla (Paolo Araneta), she has remained close.

It is with Paolo that she had the longest relationship. He is 10 years her senior. He wanted to marry her. But she was not ready then.

"Funny," she declared, "noong bata pa ako, I told myself Ill marry at 25, which is a year from now. Pero, ngayon, gusto ko, I would be much older when I get married."

She is still loveless, she confessed. And has not any intention of committing herself to anyone. Not yet.

What excites her at the moment is her upcoming trip to Europe. She is leaving with a group of non-showbiz friends on May 5. Actually, the only one in the group who is also a showbiz celebrity like her is Raymond Gutierrez.

In her itinerary is Rome, Milan and Florence in Italy, and Madrid and Barcelona in Spain.

"Three weeks lang ako mawawala. After which, trabaho na naman muli," she said.

Aside from "The Wedding," which will premiere May 11, Anne is set to do a movie with Richard Gutierrez to be produced by Viva Films and GMA Films.

"The Wedding" is under the helm of much-awarded director Jeffrey Jeturian. Anne plays Candice, who, even as a child, feels fascinated with weddings. She was a "veteran" flower girl to the weddings of her elder cousins and their friends.

She enjoyed being a bridesmaid, too.

But her ultimate dream, of course, was to have her own wedding, which almost came true when her boyfriend, played by Zanjoe Marudo, proposed to her.

She and Zanjoe were in the midst of their wedding preparation when her parents announced that they were separating.

Thus, she decided not to push through with her wedding until she is able to help save her parents marriage.

But in the series ending, did she end up with Zanjoe just the same? Or, with Derek Ram-sey, who is also in the series?

Beaming, Anne answered: "Secret."

Paolo Paraiso didnt make it to the birth of his second son with Mylene Dizon, who had a normal delivery on April 22 in Chicago, USA.

He was supposed to leave May 1, because Mylene told him her expected date of delivery was May 2 or 3.

Paolo was in Boracay for the Goma Cup when he received the news from Mylene that she has given birth to their second son, whom she named Lucas Miguel. Their eldest, Tomas Miguel, is three years old.

Paolo left for Chicago right after the Goma Cup Awards ceremonies.

Patrick Garcias greatest wish at the moment is to get even just a glimpse of his son Jazz with Jennylyn Mercado.

Jazz is now several months old and Jennylyn insists that he is hers and hers alone. And she has no intention of allowing Patrick to see the boy.

Jennylyn obviously has not forgotten, not to say, forgiven, Patrick, as there were reports when she was in her early stage of pregnancy that he had second thoughts about admitting that he was the father of her baby.
