What's so great about the story of Princess Sarah? Originally an animated series, it went on to become a monster box office hit when Star Cinema made a full-length film about the girl's experiences in the company of her friends and in the hands of her tormentors. Camille Pratts played 'Princess Sarah' while Angelica Panganiban played her best friend. When they reached their teenage years, Camille lagged behind as an actress while Angelica zoomed to become a bigger star. We can only anticipate what fate awaits Sharlene San Pedro when the time comes. Sharlene, the little girl who cried buckets in 'Mga Angel na Walang Langit,' has stepped into the shoes of Sarah, a rich girl who turns poor with the death of her father. Sharlene is joined in the show by a big bunch of other kids whose presence alone can easily help beef up the show's appeal to children. The new 'Princess Sarah' is wisely using musical production numbers in unfolding Sarah's story. 'Princess Sarah' features a big cast which includes Albert Martinez, Ai Ai de las Alas, Diether Ocampo, Sheryl Cruz, Carlos Agassi, Candy Pangilinan, Matt Evans, etc. Source: Tempo |
