| Baron misbehaves againAuthor: Joey Aquino SPEAKING of bad boys, one who may be considered as the bad boy of today's generation is Baron Geisler. From his stint in the real life drama of PBB; he has now regained star status. Baron, no doubt about it, is a very talented actor. In fact, he won the Best Actor award at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival last year for his performance as a gay TV producer in "Jay," written by Francis Xavier Pasion. However, if Baron's mettle as an actor is commendable, his drinking problem is detestable. We learned that Baron was taken by TV5's "Midnight DJ" to be a semi-regular part of the cast. He reported for taping last Sunday, February 15. But to the dismay of the production staff, he came to the set under the influence of liquor. "Lasing siya buong maghapon sa set. Tinutoo niya ang role niya na psychic na lumalakas lang ang powers pag lasing," according to a source. Well, maybe he just wanted to be in character but still that is not an excuse to come to the set inebriated. If Baron misbehaves and would continue to make things difficult for people he works with, we won't be surprised if people would have second thoughts of working with him again. Is his drinking habit a tool of making his portrayals better; as it is reportedly the superstar's secret formula? Just asking... REDEMPTION FOR ROBIN, REGINE THEY are the double "R" in the new GMA teleserye. Regine Velasquez, Asia's songbird is back with her counterpart Robin Padilla, dubbed as the Bad Boy of Philippine showbiz, in "Totoy Bato" which started airing yesterday. This will be their third team up and both are considered successful stars. In 2000, Regine starred opposite Robin in "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," a film about a pop star who falls in love with one of her fans. Then they were reunited in the movie "Till I Met You" in 2006 with Eddie Garcia. And now she welcomed the New Year with a more trimmed and fit physique due to her fascination with boxing in preparation for "Totoy Bato. " This will be a chance of redemption for both actors. Will they make this Carlo Caparas' masterpiece something to remember for viewers? Just asking... WANNA LOOK LIKE Boy Abunda? Strong words from a doctor in pain? Indeed Dra. Vicki Belo has been in the news in relation with the never ending story between her and ex-boyfriend Dr. Hayden Kho. She is as feisty as before. In her recent television appearance in the show Showbiz Central, she was asked regarding the rumored video with Katrina Halili and her ex boyfriend. It was confirmed by Dra. Vicki and admitted that this was the statement from Katrina which hit her hard, quote unquote: "Girlfriend mo lang naman siya eh, ako asawa mo. " She was also quoted as saying when she was asked by Mo Twister regarding her rival, Dr. Calayan; "If you want to look like Boy Abunda go to Calayan, if you want to look like Dingdong Dantes go to Belo". That's probably the statement of the year considering it came from a doctor. We are a democracy. People have the right to say what they want. But of course, it may also backfire when taken irresponsibly. Cosmetology is a medical practice that helps people achieve what they lack physically. So with this we could ask Dra. Vicki: Is it much more challenging having a client like Boy rather than Piolo or Dingdong? Just asking... For comments and suggestions, send them to justasking_ ja@yahoo. com or 0917-9256177.
