| | Bea Alonzo and Angelica Panganiban, ready to face the new chapter in their life Author: Rachelle Siazon Two of Star Magic's beautiful actresses Bea Alonzo and Angelica Panganiban were looking radiant as they renewed their contract with ABS-CBN yesterday and they promise to bring more surprises to their avid followers this year. "I signed a new contract with ABS-CBN. Gusto ko mag-celebrate ng isa na namang magandang pagsasamahan for three years," says Bea in an exclusive interview with Showbiz News Ngayon. " Sa isang taon meron kaming mga ilang shows na gagawin. Tapos three years yung pinirmahan naming contract," Angelica adds. Sad to say, the I Love Betty La Fea star will soon bid her role goodbye as her top-rating show comes to an end this summer. There's no doubt that she will miss working with the cast who brought so much fun in her life since last year. " Nakakalungkot kasi talagang minahal namin yung studio, minahal namin lahat ng mga kasama namin... You can only wish for an extension pero it's impossible na. Betty's always gonna be with me, in my heart. Sabi ko nga hinihingi ko yung braces, tsaka yung bangs, yung eyeglasses lahat ng memorabilia ng Betty," she reveals. At the same time, she is looking forward to being more focused with the shoot of her upcoming movie 'And I Love You So' opposite Sam Milby. In a previous interview, the country's Rockoustic Heartthrob admitted that they will be doing a love scene for their first movie together. When asked about how she feels about it, Bea insists that she doesn't want to dwell on that aspect of their work just yet. " Kinakabahan ako kasi unang-una hindi ko alam kung paano namin gagawin. Hindi ko alam ie-expect ko dun eh, ayoko na muna isipin. Siguro paggaling namin sa States saka namin ishu-shoot," she coyly states. But since they have already worked together in Maging Sino Ka Man 1&2, Bea claims that she didn't have a hard time adjusting to her new leading man. "Super relaxed [ kasama si Sam]. Tapos si Sam nababara-bara ko. Kasi masasabi ko na kumportable ako sa katrabaho ko kapag nababara-bara ko na yun tao eh, kapag najo-joke ko na nang brutal (laughs). So si Sam nagagawa ko yun kasi nga friends kami and I know na he wouldn't take it seriously," she reasons. Whether their closeness develops into something beyond friendship is what people should watch out for. As Sam says, "Anything is possible."
In the same vein, Angelica is also preparing herself for the new season of Banana Split minus her co-stars Roxanne Guinoo, Valerie Concepcion, and Dianne Medina who are about to leave the weekly gag show. " May mga pinasok na mga iba naming kasama. May iba kasi siguro silang mga project na dadating sa kanila. And as of now kasi siguro nagpatong-patong kasi yung schedule eh," she explains. But she is quick to assure everyone that she will be her usual bubbly self despite her recent health scare. " Sa ngayon kasi wala ako'ng masyadong ginagawa so kaya ko pa namang pagsabay-sabayin yun and kaya ko pa namang mag-taping ng Banana Split.
