Column: Entertainment Television host Boy Abunda on Sunday publicly accepted the apology of famous cosmetic surgeon Dra. Vicki Belo as he expressed his gratitude to all those who "honored his pain."
"I forgive you but we all learned a very important lesson here - to be prudent, be more cautious, and more careful when we talk about other people. And I really pray na sana, because of this experience, we all come out of this as better people," Abunda said during "The Buzz's Points, Opinions, Violent Reactions."
Abunda said he no longer carries any grudge against Belo, adding that he chose to believe that her apology was sincere.
Last week, Abunda reacted to an "insult" hurled by Belo against him.
The TV host said he was hurt when Belo remarked: "All I'd like to say is, if you want to look like Boy Abunda , go to Calayan, But if you want to look like Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual, come to Belo."
Abunda is one of the endorsers of Calayan Surgicenter, a competitor of Belo Medical Group.
On Sunday, Abunda said the good thing that came out of the issue was he realized that he has many friends and that he is "humbled" by the support and prayers of people he doesn't even know.
