'Calayans' marriage 200 percent OK'

Popular cosmetic surgeon Dr. Manny Calayan denied reports that he and his equally famous wife, dermatologist Dr. Pie Calayan, had separated, saying their marriage is "200 percent okay."

The splitsville rumor had surfaced after Pie failed to attend their eldest daughter's 18th birthday celebration last April 3 at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

The "doctor to the stars" told "Showbiz Central" that as much as his wife wanted to attend Hanna's birthday she couldn't because she was then confined at the Makati Medical Center.

Manny said his wife had been diagnosed with adrenal crisis, hyperthyroidism and pneumonia. He added that she had been advised by her physician to take a full rest.

He said Pie is also taking a break from her clinic works.
