THE King of Komiks, Carlo J. Caparas and his beauteous wife, Donna Villa added more glitz to the press launch of "Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang" last Wednesday night at GMA7's Studio 5. The generous couple are certainly a welcome sight to many friends from the press at the affair.

The new thriller stars controversial actress Marian Rivera and one of adjudged Sexiest Men of the World, Dingdong Dantes.

Marian looks aggressive in her role as Proserfina to Dingdong's relaxed portrayal of Homer. Marian looked so provocative, and she showed more than in her previous TV roles.

"Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang" has a powerhouse cast that includes Carmi Martin, Paolo Contis, Eugene Domingo, Francine Prieto, Carlene Aguilar, Paolo Paraiso, and Lovi Poe. No less than Bb. Joyce Bernal who gave us the unforgettable re-make of Dyesebel is at the helm with no-nonsense young director, Topel Lee.

Meanwhile, we think that Carlo J shouldn't be called just the Komiks King. At the rate things are going, he can be called the new TV King. His name spells instant success for a TV series, especially those adapted on GMA7. Some guys have all the luck, really. But of course, it's hard to ignore Carlo J's enormous talent in storytelling.

CAREFUL, JC
IN an interview with Mark Herras, he hinted that Rhian Ramos became his girlfriend for four months. It started during the filming of Italy but it simply ended after the movie was shown.

But Rhian never considered their closeness as more than being friends, not even an MU. Was it to play safe so as people would not dub her as Mark's another victim?We all know that Mark has a reputation with women.

Well, Rhian's not only a looker but a clever girl, as well. So no matter what is written about her, be it in tabloids or on the Internet, she can get away with it. Maybe that's the reason why her TV series, La Lola is rating high. JC de Vera should be careful falling in love with her. It seems Rhian's not your typical girl who can fall in love so easily. It hurts to be dropped like a hot potato.

SELDOM do we experience attending a well-presented product launch like we had last week with Swatch. The lady behind the affair was no less than Madam Virgie Ramos who gracefully hopped from one table to another to see to it that everybody was comfortable.
