| Carlo Lacana, busy young actorColumn: Entertainment Child actors are shining on Philippine television. Carlo Lacana is one of the most convincing young actors on TV today. He plays the role of Angelo in "Maligno", every night on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida. At a very young age, Carlo already showcased his talents and skills. After appearances on print and TV ads, he successfully finished his first full length movie, entitled "Tall as Trees" together with big icons in showbiz. He previously appeared on ABS-CBN's Lastikman. Carlo said that "Maligno" is the series which formally introduced him to Philippine TV viewers. Despite TV commercial shoots and tapings for television shows, he maintains good standing in school. He was awarded fourth honorable mention in academic excellence last year. He will be in the fifth grade this coming school year. Many of his co-workers including his director in "Maligno", Wenn Deramas, said that Carlo is a disciplined and obedient child. His parents take an active role in his acting career, and help him prepare for work.
