Cherry Pie wants to do film with Ariel Rivera

FILMING a mature love story movie is one of the few projects that seasoned actress Cherry Pie Picache desires to fulfill in her showbiz career.

Cherry Pie said she would love to do an ala "The Bridge of Madison County" film locally, which she has never done in her entire career. Cherry Pie Picache's ideal project is a love story movie with Ariel Rivera or a May-December love affair film with John Lloyd Cruz or Dingdong Dantes. (Jill Beltran)

Asked whom she would want as leading man, she beamed: "Ariel Rivera because I have always been a fan of him, he is a friend and his wife (Gelli de Belen) knows it."

Aside from a mature love story flick, Cherry Pie also said she is willing to do a movie about May-December love affair.

The multi-awarded actress said she would prefer to work alongside John Lloyd Cruz or Dingdong Dantes. "We have lots of 'bagets' actors today who are really very good so I guess it would have been nice to work with them."

The last two years have been a very good year for Cherry Pie. She had received several accolades from different highly-regarded award-giving bodies here and abroad.

This year, Cherry Pie said she wished that the awards she gets would compensate her talent fee. "As a performer, awards fatten my heart but sometimes I would say I do not want prestige anymore, I need cash."

"I get embarrassed especially when people repeatedly talks about it. On the other hand, I tell myself that this prestige might not come at any time so I just have to enjoy it and thank God for the talent He gave me," she said.

Cherry Pie will be doing two independent films this year. She is also part of the Valentine movie of KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez produced by GMA Films. (JRDB/Sunnex)
