MANILA - Television host Christine Bersola-Babao has launched what is touted as the country's first parenting show online called "ParenTin.TV."

"Ito ang katuparan ng aking pangarap. [Ang] magkaroon ng isang parenting show. Hindi nga lang siya sa mainstream TV, online show siya, never been tested, experimental. Pero malaki ang paniniwala ko na maghi-hit siya," Bersola-Babao told ABS-CBN News.

She divulged that it has always been her dream to host a parenting show but it took her a long time to start the project. She said she had to consider a lot of things.

"Inisip ko usong uso ngayon ang Internet. Nandiyan ang YouTube. So, sabi ko it's portal, a power thing sa present. That is clearly the direction of the future. So, hinarness ko lang iyong power na 'yon by creating a show online 24/7," she said.

She said she decided to pursue the project "because it's [my] passion, it's always worth it."

As part of her parenting show, the host of the now defunct ABS-CBN morning programs "Alas Sinko Y Medya" and "Magandang Umaga Bayan" said she is going to share her own experiences as a mother to daughter Antonia.

"Ang daming pwedeng ma-share about parenting na walang katapusan. But parenting is not just about me, a mother. It's also about fathers, yayas, grandparents na naiiwan sa bahay; ang parents ay OFW," she said.

Bersola-Babao, who is now four months pregnant, is married to veteran broadcast journalist Julius Babao. She said it was her husband's idea to come up with the online parenting program.
