| | Coney Reyes returns to movies with 'And I Love You So' Author: Bernie Franco Coney Reyes returns to the big screen after a long hiatus via the drama movie And I Love You So, which opens in theaters on August 12. The veteran actress admitted that she has had other movie offers even before this one, but the timing was not quite right. "They've been sending me scripts before pa pero parang wala sa tiyempo. Minsan tinatamad ako," she laughed. " Nagkita kami ni Malou Santos (Star Cinema executive) sa party ni Vilma (Santos). It's an intimate party so she asked me, ulit," revealed Coney, who made a mark on TV when she did the long-running TV series, Coney Reyes on Camera for 14 years. The movie, which will be helmed by Laurenti Dyogi, is top-billed by Bea Alonzo, whom Coney was curious to work with. " Si Bea, pinapanuod ko pa lang nung first [teleserye] pa niya, 'yung Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. Mukha pa siyang geek noon [pero] bilib na ako. May lalim," commented Coney. "So siguro magandang timing ngayon [dahil] my son is already in college. Wala naman akong asawa. Okay naman na gumawa ako ng pelikula ulit, so nag-enjoy naman ako." She also added that being familiar with the rest of the cast was also a big factor in making her take on the movie. " Tapos si Sam (Milby) kasama din namin sa church, I know his manager also.
