| Cristine Reyes back to work despite traumaAuthor: ABS-CBNNews.com MANILA - Actress Cristine Reyes has gone back to work despite her traumatic experience last Saturday when she was trapped on their rooftop at the height of tropical storm Ondoy (international codename Ketsana) with some members of her family in Marikina City. Reyes has started shooting for her upcoming movie, "Ang Darling Kong Aswang," with Prince of Comedy Vic Sotto as her new leading man. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Reyes said she's much better now, but expressed fear about the incoming supertyphoon Pepeng. The actress said she's trying her best to move on by working hard to save money again so she can replace all the things she lost from the floods. "Balik ulit yong dating gawain at saka bumabawi. Kailangan kong bumawi, kailangan nating trabahuin lahat ng nawala sa amin," she said. Reyes was rescued by a friend and colleague, Richard Gutierrez. Reyes' story of survival and the rescue by the actor was featured on major news networks in US and leading broadsheets like the New York Times. The New York Times called Reyes as "Damsel in Distress." Reyes also lambasted malicious reports saying the rescue effort was only a gimmick to promote her upcoming horror film, "Patient X." Gutierrez will be Reyes' leading man in the movie. As her way of thanking God for sparing her from the wrath of Ondoy, Reyes has done 2 relief operations for some of the victims of the storm. Pagkatapos noon, baka pupunta kami somewhere in QC sa Bagong Silangan. Mayroon kaming biniling bigas, canned goods. Actually, puro pagkain at gamot," Reyes said. Source: ABS-CBN News |
