During the thanksgiving press conference for her other teleserye Kahit Isang Saglit, Cristine Reyes expressed her own take on the controversial aspects of Eva Fonda. "Contrast naman kasi. Although si Eva is sexy, nagpapakita ng legs, nakikita rin na si Eva hindi lumalaban. Kapag nakita ng mga viewers 'yung ugali na 'yun ni Eva na hindi lumalaban malalaman ng mga bata na maganda rin pala 'yung ganun. Tsaka si Eva pine-preserve niya 'yung virginity hanggang maikasal siya sa lalaking mahal niya," said Cristine. The 19-year-old sexy actress plays the role of Eva, a pretty and sexy probinsyana whose charm drives men crazy and women jealous. Eva misfortunes begin when she is raped by the mayor's son which is soon followed by another ordeal. She then uses her most powerful weapon, her beauty, to rise above discrimination and get back at those who made her life a living hell. One controversial scene in Eva Fonda involved supporting actors Joross Gamboa and Hazel Ann Mendoza playing an eloping couple having sex inside a jeep. Of that Cristine said, "'Yung mga nangyayari sa characters nina Hazel Ann at Joross lesson na 'yun sa mga kabataan ng hindi magandang maidudulot ng maagang pag-aasawa." Cristine has two shows on primetime at the moment, Eva Fonda and Kahit Isang Saglit-the latter of which is on its final week-plus the Saturday gag show Banana Split. The actress expressed her gratitude for being given the biggest exposure so far since she became a Kapamilya. "Thankful ako kasi hindi lahat nabibigyan ng ganitong opportunity kaya sa bawat project na ibinibigay sa akin talagang ginagalingan ko para hindi masayang. Gusto ko ring ipakita na may talent din naman ako at gusto kong tumagal sa industry. Sobrang saya kasi hindi ko akalaing aabot ako sa puntong ganito. Overwhelming na malamang naa-appreciate ako."
