WHAT’S in store for Dingdong Dantes now that in his upcoming TV projects for GMA 7, he’ll no longer have Marian Rivera for his leading lady?

After all, between him and Marian, the latter is the bigger star. Marian played the title role in their TV series together, "Marimar" and "Dyesebel." Plus their last team-up, "Ang Babaing Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang."

Now the question: Will the bells of stardom, if not success, continue to ring for Dingdong? Just like what his first name connotes?

Dingdong has reportedly been chosen to play the top role of Cholo in the local TV adaptation of the "Koreanovela," "Stairway to Heaven."

Marian, on the other hand, has been chosen to play the lead in another remake of "Darna."

Marriage may not yet be in the offing for Vic Sotto and Pia Guanio, but there is no doubt that they are in love.

At the presscon for his new game show on TV5, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?," Vic revealed that his relationship with Pia is good and intact. And that since she became his girlfriend, he has never felt secured and loved.

"My health is her priority," Vic said.

When Vic marked his birthday recently, Pia treated him to a executive medical check-up. Didn’t he feel good when he discovered he is in good health? In fact, he was only told to lose weight.

"Mga three kilos daw," he stated. "Three kilosdaw ako overweight. Yes, based daw on my height."

"Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" was first aired in the country many years back, on IBC 13, with Christopher de Leon as host.

At that time, the game show was being produced by Viva Entertainment.

Vic, like Christopher, received instructions from a British national connected with the "Millionaire" show in London on how to host the program.

"Noong una," said Vic, "akala ko, madali lang i-hostang ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" ‘Yun pala, ‘di lang mahirap, complicated pa."

Here’s how the game show goes: Contestants, who may come from all over the country, are to compete with others to get to the hot seat. For them them to ascend to the seven-digit jackpot, they should answer 15 multiple-choice questions correctly.

Before P1 million in cash was at stake, but TV5 has escalated the jackpot prize to P2 million.

Keeping loyal to the show’s original format, contestants are provided "Lifelines" in the form of "Ask the Audience, "50/50" and of course, "Call a Friend."

The pilot episode of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" will air on Saturday, May 23, on TV 5 at 6 p.m. The guests will be Ara Mina, Polo Ravales, Assunta de Rossi, Rafael Rosel, Manilyn Reynes, Jay Manalo, Megan Young, Gladys Reyes, Nadia Montenegro and Mo Twister.

Now there’s a reason to believe that the romance between Dennis Trillo and Cristine Reyes is not on the rocks, as both of them claim. It is as strong as ever!

The two were recently seen together by our non-showbiz source. They looked lovey-dovey at the event.

Dennis, who marked his birthday recently, continuously claims that he is loveless. Cristine says the same thing.

But, of course, the two now work in different networks. Dennis is a Kapuso, while Cristine’s a Kapamilya.
