Dennis sets sights on Pauleen

Dingdong Dantes is co-producing "Kimmy Dora" with fellow heartthrob Piolo Pascual after all. This he announced recently.

In an earlier interview with Piolo, he revealed that he originally wanted Dingdong to be his co-producer but Dingdong decided to back out. Piolo did not say why though.

Just the same, Piolo added that he was grateful that Dingdong would still play leading man to Eugene. Piolo himself is doing a cameo in "Kimmy Dora."

"Kimmy Dora," directed by Joyce Bernal, serves as the launching movie of Eugene, who has appeared in serveal blockbuster movies with Ai Ai de las Alas.

Eugene plays a dual role in the movie.

She is also doing a number of first, like donning a bathing suit and having torrid kissing with Dingong, which she said she thoroughly enjoyed.

"Hindi siguro ako magrereklamo kung pati kay Papa Piolo, magkakaroon ako ng kissing scene," Eugene said.

Aside from Piolo, Vhong Navarro, Erik Santos, Mark Bautista and Rufa Mae Quinto are in the movie, gratis et amore.

And guess what their roles are.

"Waiters and waitress," said Eugene, "Yes, in a party for me.

"Talagang nakakataba ng puso itong gesture na ito na ginagawa sa akin ng aking mga kaibigan. I just cannot thank them enough," she added.

Kris Aquino had earlier agreed to do a movie for Star Cinema which would have been the film firms entry to the coming Metro Manila Film Festival. Its title was supposed to be "Ikaw Na Nga" with teenage actress Kim Chiu.

But as we all know, Kris backed out from the project and she cited her moms illness as the main reason for her decision not to do a movie anymore.

In her letter to Star Magics managing director, Malou Santos, Kris said that because of Corazon Aquinos still unstable condition, she and her siblings watch her round the clock.

Former President Cory is now allegedly suffering a lot of complications from her colon cancer.

The film would have been Kris first MMFF movie after five years. She was last seen in "Happy Together," an entry to the MMFF of Regal Films that also starred Eric Quizon.

Dennis Trillo appeared not a bit bothered by the report that his ex-flame Cristine Reyes is now dating John Lloyd Cruz.

He even said that the two, as far as he knows, are not committed to anyone. Thus, they are free to see anyone they want.

Meanwhile Dennis is being linked to Pauleen Luna, his co-star in "Adik Sa Yo." But he says that though he considers Pauleen as the closest of his female friends, there is really nothing serious between them.

Does that mean he has no plans of courting her?

"I didnt say that," he replies. "But Id rather cross the bridge when I get there."

Suffice to say that he is truly attracted to Pauleen, who started her career with ABS-CBN, just like Dennis.

"We both belonged to Star Circle (now Star Magic) talents," recalls Dennis, "I was with Batch 9, while she was with Batch 10 yata."

"I have no idea kung sino ang naka-batch niya, pero ang natatandaan kong nakapanabayan ko ay si Bea Alonzo."

He joined GMA 7 ahead of Pauleen.

Unlike Pauleen, however, Dennis decided to finish college first before he ventured into a showbiz career fulltime.

He went to Ateneo from grade school to high school and finished a Business Management courser at Miriam College.
