| | Diether Ocampo remains optimistic despite calamities Author: Rachelle Siazon Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng might have left a wide trail of destruction in their wake, but Diether Ocampo wants to encourage everyone to step up and be more proactive not only when helping those who got affected by calamities, but also when it comes to resolving the problems of our society. " Dito mo makikita na kahit iba-iba tayo ng paniniwala sa relihiyon, kultura, at political views, pagdating sa pagtulong, napakaunique ng mga Pinoy dahil nakikita mo na lahat nagsasama-sama at talagang sumuporta sa mga kababayan nating nangangailangan," he said in an interview with ABS-CBN.com. Ever since he started K.I.D.S. Foundation, Diether has been involved with several health and education programs which cater to the less privileged in different parts of the country. As a matter of fact, that he considers this his biggest accomplishment more than his hit teleseryes to date. "Well I still have a few months to go, hoping na meron pa akong mas malalaking accomplishments before the year ends. Pero so far, running a foundation for four years, I think hindi ganon kadali yun. Para i-sustain mo yung mga programa ninyo pati mga staff ninyo? Malaking responsibilidad talaga siya. Pero para sa mga gustong tumulong din, hinihikayat ko sila na don't stop. Kung ako nagawa ko, everyone else can do it," he stressed. He also encourages his colleagues and even his girlfriend Rima Ostwani to share his vision in improving the lives of the youth who benefit from K.I.D.S. Foundation. And with his total commitment to his organization, it's no surprise that he still doesn't want to settle down anytime soon. "Secure naman ako sa relasyon namin. And nakikita ninyo naman kung gaano ako kasaya with her lalo na kapag magkasama kami sa mga outreach activities. But you know, I still have so many things to do.
