| Diether Ocampo's advice to Kristine Hermosa: 'Stay positive'![]() Author: Rachelle Siazon There's no doubt that Diether Ocampo's break-up with Kristine Hermosa is one of the most painful things that ever happened to him. But despite the controversies at its wake including the much-publicized nullification of their marriage, it's high time the 32-year-old actor move on and face the new challenges in his life. "Basically, I've learned to look forward. I've made a lot of mistakes and wrong decisions in the past. But more than anything, it's something that I can learn so much from. I guess it gave me so much wisdom and that's why every time I do something-which to some people would be like a great challenge-for me parang 'Wow I am well-equipped' It's like going to a battle and this time I am really prepared for anything that will come my way. And it's such a great feeling that people still respect you despite everything. Because they see naman, and it's really up to you to rectify those things, it's never too late. There's a new day or a new beginning that you can always look forward to," he said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN.com last April 15. Many people have noticed that Diether is radiating so much happiness these days because of his blooming love life and showbiz career. But the dashing actor-model-businessman claimed that his life is far from complete at this point in time. "There are still a lot of things that I want to do. I would want to feel complete but I still know that there are a lot of things that I can conquer. Ang dami pa, madami pa ako'ng roles na gusto ko'ng gampanan, madami pa ako'nggustong maka-trabaho. More than being successful or achieving so much, siguro this is a point in my life na people would recognize that there's a good balance in my life. They see that there's a balance unlike before na parang wala ako'ng sense of direction. But now I'm more focused and I know exactly where I am heading to. All the more that people would perceive na 'ha very positive ang attitude niya ngayon ah.' It makes you feel so light if everything is well-balanced, you have this happy disposition about life," he explained. When told that maybe one of the reasons why Kristine still misses him is because of his lovable and down-to-earth personality, Diether merely smiled at such unexpected news. "Well, it's nice to know, but life goes on. For me kasi it's a chapter in my life na tapos na eh. So parang whatever happens back then I don't try to remember anymore. Siyempre, I will always cherish the happy moments or happy memories. More than anything, it's like a thing in the past, although it's part of history. It's just nice to know...It's part of my journey." He also didn't know how to react to Kristine's revelation about her fear of commitment because of her past relationships. "It's really hard to comment on that especially because she's someone I got involved with. When I told everybody, 'Okay I have finally moved on', parang as in literally and figuratively, I have moved on," he stressed. Even though they are on speaking terms, nobody could really fault Diether for cutting all ties with Kristine because everyone knew that he fought for their relationship until the very end. "Yeah gano'n yun eh. Alam naman niya yun eh. It came to a point na 'I did my best'. Everyone knows that (he is willing to wait for her until she's ready to sort out whatever differences they have). I mean, as of right now, I can say that I have no regrets. Thankful ako na nalampasan ko na yung part na yun ng buhay ko." If there's any message or advice that you want to say to Kristine, what would it be? "Stay positive, yun lang." Source: ABS-CBN Interactive |
