Diether and Kristine together again--for work

Hunk actor Diether Ocampo said that he and his former sweetheart actress Kristine Hermosa are back together again--but for other than romantic prospects.

Ocampo confirmed reports that he and the actress were sighted in the island of Boracay.

The actor said they were in Boracay to do a photo shoot for a special project.

"Ngayon okay naman kami, in fact, nagka-trabaho kami pero for photo shoot. Abangan na lang nila iyon may ginawa kaming project together na nag-trabaho kami for a particular photo shoot," Ocampo told members of entertainment media before the preview of "Maligno," the second offering of ABS-CBN's Sineserye Presents: The Susan Roces Collection.

As usual, Ocampo was unable to clarify the status of his on-off, sort-of relationship with Hermosa. He said that what is more important now are the good things happening in their lives.

"Sa ngayon kasi hindi ko muna iniisip iyon dahil sa gaya ng sinasabi ko medyo maganda naman iyong mga nangyari pareho sa amin dahil pareho kaming abala sa trabaho at the same time may bago kaming proyekto na ginagawa for ABS-CBN," Ocampo said.

And how did it feel to be with Hermosa again? Ocampo's answer could be summed up in one word: Exhausting. This is because, according to the actor, all they did in the island was work.

No socialite

So is it really over between him and Kristine? And won't their continued vagueness about their relationship make their fans cease to care?

Well, Ocampo said that he's not really making any romance between them a priority.

"Wala naman akong nabanggit na ganoon pero siyempre gaya ng nauna kong pahayag hindi ko muna binibigyan ng prioridad iyon. Ang importante ay may nagagawa tayong magagandang bagay. Nakakapagpasaya tayo ng tao at marami tayong natutulungan lalo na ang mga kabataan," Ocampo calmly told abs-cbnNEWS.com.

Ocampo also dismissed the reports that he is now dating a socialite.

"No. To be honest, marami akong mga bagong nakikilala mga bagong kaibigan. Yeah may mga nakaka-halubilo akong mga socialite pero mga kaibigan lang," the actor said.

He added that his love life has taken a back seat, now that he's more focused on his foundation for children. "Right now medyo mas abala ako ng projects for K.I.D.S Foundation. Sa katunayan galing ako sa Camarnes Sur dahil sa nagkaroon kami ng feeding program sa area na iyon."

Ocampo's K.I.D.S. Foundation helps underprivileged children of Metro Manila and other provinces in the country.

The actor said he still cannot confirm reports that he is being considered for a part in the afternoon soap "Prinsesa ng Banyera" where Hermosa is the lead character.

He said that while such an offer would be welcome, he simply hasn't received any such offer.

Ocampo also denied a report that he is asking for "a break" from his love team with Hermosa.

"Wala akong nabanggit na ganoon. Hindi ako pwedeng mag-decide pagdating sa ganyang bagay. Ngayon okay naman kami."
